New Life operates an after-school mentoring program for at-risk school age youth. We minister to 20 – 30 young people each week. We strive to provide meaningful Bible studies, good wholesome recreation, real life skill development, and educational activities each week. Don Ethredge has also been discipling a group African-American men from urban Jackson for several years who Don hopes will become leaders in their families and communities. Don visits and ministers to the needs of inner-city families in our target area on a regular basis. A Parent Support Group/Bible Study has been started in 2009 and we hope to continue this program in the future as of now we have had to postpone this outreach because of lack of funds. New Life started an out reach to teenagers through Christian music last year. This has been warmly received by all those involved. New Life hopes to continue this program as funds are made available. (At this time some of this program is being scaled back due to financing and lack of staffing.)
